Summer is upon us, finally! The last few days saw some 90 degree and above temperatures. I am sure you have heard it many times before "hey, it's wisconsin weather fer' ya". We athletes know it all too well. Many of us watch the weather channel quite religioiusly, making sure we are prepared for what mother nature is about to throw at us. Do you have enough waterbottles? Do you know where the water stops are? Do you carry salt tablets? These are things that will keep our body safe and our minds sharp, and we need that. Superun 2009 again brought the team up on the for front of summer racing. Over 50 triWisconsinites showed up to race, volunteer, cheer and support.
photo courtesy of kelly steinberg, triwisconsin and awesome photographer...seriously, check it out. It is not unusual to find us scattered about, but we do find our way to get together and exchange stories. It will be easier once we get are apparel printed and distributed. Currently the uniforms are slated to be received by next week. We will go through them and set aside the pre-orders, then the extras will be sold at first come first serve, so keep watching the updates and websites. Big races are coming up ahead and Mike K is up to his old antics again of making sure you have ample information before race days. The recon rides have been outstanding. Make sure you observe the rules of the road and we can enjoy recon rides safely.
