1. Wow. This is a big deal. People do this for more reasons than "I have something to prove". It's amazing. I'm still kinda overwhelmed by how surreal a sufferfest like this appears through my psycho tri-lenses....cue la vie en rose, i'm getting nostalgic....

2. Scott is not just another pretty face (!) He really threw together a good time - he also knows the words to a LOT of songs...

3. John White is a wealth of information. Talk to him, often. Then confirm with Mary!

4. Al and Amy are way 2 legit 2 quit.

5. Scooters? Brilliant!!

6. Robin Treder and Jen Koch looked good while running past the second time. Did they forget to bike?

7. Greg Renden seemed to have forgotten where he was. Who smiles, talks, laughs, waves, cheers back, and BOUNDS up a hill at mile 21.5? Here is Pete Kazaks too!

8. You get to know your cooler, wiser, less obsessed teammates a whole lot better when you volunteer. And it's not that easy...(do not see brenda's pics)

9. Jim Cummins really does have a nice ass! Um, for those unaware, Jim likes a little appreciation of his hard-earned derriere, and provides opportunities to do this!

10. Kendra, please wear that awesome hat again. (she fell victim to an unfortunate miniature cow milking accident...)

11. Team Mexico really warmed my heart. They were really strong a) and b) super gracious competitors. Muy bien!

12. OUR team members, no matter how hard they were struggling, ALL seemed to come out of the darkness for awhile going past the Tri-Wis tent...and that means so much to see and be a part of. This team has some real rockstars on it but this event finds everyone's lowest, darkest, vomitous point, and in that way it's the lowest common denominater...but nobody stays there. Up and down but pushing towards whatever it is you see at the finish line. Actually, there are awesome drugs out there that provide the same type of feeling....without carting your own ass through 140.6 miles.

if this is old news to you because you've been doing these longer than I've been alive, then delete. but if you are still in awe like me, I get it too. And I'll see you next year.
