Tuesday Group Swims - Meet at Nicolet High School Pool

6701 N Jean Nicolet Rd, Glendale, WI 53217 

We get started at 7pm and swim for an hour. All abilities are welcome.

Upcoming Schedule:

  1. Tuesday December 12, 2017 (first swim)
  2. Every Tuesday until April 24, 2018 --- ***No swim on December 26 and January 23

If you are looking for some help with your swim, there will be someone there to work with you.

Option A:  Tri-specific geared towards helping with different aspects of open water and improving swim form.

Option B: Lap swimming with a specific workout to follow with the people in your lane.

After, a group heads out for dinner and drinks.

NEW! TriWisconsin Swim Clinic(s)

The goal of these structured group coached (by Heather Haviland, Professional Endurance Coach & Co-owner of Milwaukee Cycling Center) swims is to break down the swim stroke into 3 phases. Each workout will focus on different parts of the stroke with the goal of improving technique.  Improved technique reduces drag and leads to increased stroke efficiency and reduced energy expenditure.  Lanes will be organized by pace.

  • January – the kick, proper body balance, rotation and breathing
  • February – hand entry and exits
  • March – what to do underneath the water

After each swim an email recap will go out to all participants on the drills reviewed and will also include a workout guide to follow for the month.

Time: 7:30-8:30 a.m.
Location: Nicolet High School Pool 
Dates: Sundays, January 21st, February 11th, and March 18th
Cost: $15.00 per session or $30.00 for all 3

Pre-requisite, must be able to swim continuous for 300 yards.

    WINTER/SPRING 



    Join in on getting more fit on the bike this winter all while having fun!

    A few riding options for TRIWISCONSIN members only at one of Wisconsin’s premier cycling facilities, the Milwaukee Cycling Center (MCC).

    Planning on doing the Tri-Club Championships?   Starting in January and continuing through March, ride on the exact course as the Florida 70.3, Haines City. Cost $30.00 for all 3 or $15.00 per time 

    • Sunday January 21st – 2 hours
    • Sunday February 11th – 2.5 hours
    • Sunday March 18th – 3 hours

    Weekly Cycling options starting in January

    Option 1 – (16 weeks) A 1 hour coached workout utilizing the Perf Pro coaching software where each training session is based on current function threshold power, no shifting is needed, just maintain the cadence and the trainer does the rest!  Each session will build on one another, starting the first week with a review of technique to include drills and then the second week with 20-minute time trial to asses’ power zones then having each session building on one another.  

    Dates: Thursdays 7:00-8:00 pm, January 4th through April 19th 

    OR Mondays 6:00-7:00 pm, January 8th through April 23rd

    Cost: $184.00 for the 16 week, 1 hour class

    Drop in: $15.00 per ride if space allows

    Option 2 – (12 weeks) Up to 1.5 hours on a rolling course, while using your gears and going at whatever intensity you need to.  NEW for this year will be an instruction of the of the know how’s of the computrainer the first week then a 20 minute test the second week to determine training intensities for proceeding weeks.  Then a training focus will be provided if one wishes to use to maximize the training session.  

    Dates: Saturdays 8:30-10:00 am – January 6th through March 24th 

    Cost: $138.00 for the 12 week, 1.5-hour session

    Drop in: $15.00 per ride if space allows

    SPRING / SUMMER

    Lannon Ride

    **FIRST RIDE IS SCHEDULED ON MAY 1,2018

    Tuesdays - Wheels out at 6pm, both main group and no-drop option.

    Quarry Coffee (20316 West Main Street, Lannon) 

    • Led by TriWI members, Brad Wells & Sara Hauer
    • Multiple distances of hilly course training (26, 30 & 37 mile routes, maps provided).
    • All levels are welcome to attend.
    • This is a drop ride so get there early, grab a map and partner up with someone of similar ability / pace.
    • Stop in at Quarry Coffee before your ride for a snack / drink.
    • There is a path near the lot for a post-ride run.

    Track Workouts

    **TRACK WORKOUTS WILL BEGIN IN MAY AND WILL CONTINUE TILL THE END OF SEPTEMBER

    Wednesday -  May - September at 6pm 

    Hart Park, 7201 W State St, Wauwatosa, WI 53213

    • We will gather in the grass in the northeast corner of the track.
    • It's recommended that you do a short warmup before Ted's workout instructions at 6:10pm (on the track or the nearby paths).
    • A couple of workout options will be available each week to cater to those training for races of different distances and at different paces.
    • Please follow the rules of Hart Park facility (no sports drinks, food, or gels on the track and keep off the infield)
    • All abilities are absolutely welcome and encouraged to join us!

    North Shore Wheel & Sprocket Ride

    **FIRST RIDE IS SCHEDULED ON MAY 3,2018

    Thursdays - Wheels out at 6pm

    Wheel & Sprocket (6940 N. Santa Monica Blvd, Fox Point)

    • Led by Board Member Elias Macias 
    • This is a mostly flat, no drop ride ranging from 25 - 35 miles.
    • All levels are welcome.
