Swim Workouts

Monday's - at 7pm - 8:15 pm thru May 24th 

Meet at Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center (9240 N Green Bay Rd, Brown Deer, WI 53209 )

Join us for our Monday swim's at Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center. A workout will be provided but feel free to do your own thing. Swim is free to current TriWisconsin members or $3 for non-members.

Please read over and adhere to all of the Schroeder Aquatic Center's COVID guidelines.

• If you have not done so, please review this YouTube video which demonstrates the WSAC Covid Swim Safety procedures detailed below.


• Plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to practice (7:00pm) and wait in car
• Coach will open doors 10 minutes before practice. (7:05pm) NOTE: Doors will be locked after we are admitted into the WSAC. Please arrive by 7:05pm!
• Please wear a mask
• Coach will review procedures/checklist while participants wait outside (with appropriate social distancing/masks)
• Swim practice time is from 7:15-8:15pm.
• When finished towel off on deck near the wall under the practice board and exit the pool via the bulkhead. Locker rooms are available for limited use. (See below)
• We can swim up to 2 to a lane. If you are sharing just coordinate with your lane mate, split the lane and start and rest at opposite ends. (The WSAC has 17 swim lanes)
Thanks for your cooperation regarding locker room use. Locker rooms are open for limited use (Please note: The safest and still recommended way is to avoid/limit locker room use.)
• Please come dressed to swim. Locker rooms will not be available before practice for changing.
• Showers and locker rooms are available briefly after practice. Please limit your time in the shower. Wear your mask while changing (when not in the shower) and practice social distancing as much as possible.
There are disinfecting wipes available for you to clean off surfaces before and after use. So far with everyone’s cooperation we have been able to continue swimming. Thanks for continuing to follow the policies that have been put forth.

Lannon Ride


Tuesday's - Wheels out at 6pm

Quarry Coffee (20316 West Main Street, Lannon) 

  • Led by TriWI Board Members, Dan Kordik, Jeff Mahuta & Ted Shue
  • Multiple distances of hilly course training (26, 30 & 37 mile routes, maps provided).
  • All levels are welcome to attend.
  • This is a drop ride so get there early, grab a map and partner up with someone of similar ability / pace.
  • Stop in at Quarry Coffee before your ride for a snack / drink.
  • There is a path near the lot for a post-ride run.

Track Workouts


Wednesday's -  May - October at 6pm 

Hart Park, 7201 W State St, Wauwatosa, WI 53213

  • We will gather in the grass in the northeast corner of the track.
  • The track workout includes a 2 mile warm-up.  Those looking for a longer warm-up or to log additional miles are encouraged to do so on the track or nearby paths PRIOR to Ted's workout instructions that begin promptly at 6pm.
  • A couple of workout options will be available each week to cater to those training for races of different distances and at different paces.
  • Please follow the rules of Hart Park facility (no sports drinks, food, or gels on the track and keep off the infield)
  • All abilities are absolutely welcome and encouraged to join us!

Workout typically consists of the following format:

  • 1 mile (4 laps) easy run/jog
  • 1/2 mile (2 laps) with strides/accelerations on straights
  • 1/4 mile (1 lap) with 1/2 lap easy + 1/2 lap acceleration
  • 1/4 mile (1 lap) with 1/2 lap acceleration + 1/2 lap easy
  • 3 miles (12 laps) intervals of varying length + recovery
  • 1 mile (4 laps) easy run/jog


Group Runs - Every Wednesday at 6pm

(November thru March)

Meet right inside the main entrance of The Pettit National Ice Center (500 S 84th St, Milwaukee, WI 53214)

All abilities are welcome. We run outside year round & in the dark so please dress appropriately!  Our route is roughly a 6 mile out & back along the Honey Creek Parkway in Wauwatosa which allows for you to turn around at any point to get the miles you need! On dangerously cold or icy days we will run on the track inside. 

*Note due to COVID the Pettit is not allowing running on the track so we will only be outside until further notice.*

Cycle Class - Every Thursday @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

We also offer a Rouvy option starting at 6pm. The course will be announced each week via our Tri Wisconsin Team Facebook and Instagram pages.
