    Tri-101 Training Program

Whether you are afraid of water, have no bike (yet) or have difficulty running once around the track, you CAN be a triathlete.  For almost 10 years TRiWi has helped similar athletes get to the finish line of their first sprint triathlon through training, motivation and education.

TriWisconsin invites EVERYONE (over the age of 18) to learn more about how and why now is the time to pursue your dream of becoming a triathlete.

The Tri-101 program will be start with an informational kickoff and short run on Monday, May 6th at 6:00pm at Hart Park in Wauwatosa.  Check out our Facebook Page @   https://www.facebook.com/groups/TriWisconsin.Tri101/  to join.

We've got a great set of introductory workouts for any skill level of participants.  We will have regular meet-ups and clinics posted to help welcome you into the sport.

    • 29 Jul 2019

    • Fox Brook Park, 2925 N Barker Rd, Brookfield, WI 53045

Join Tri Wisconsin & Peak Performance Professionals as we host an Open Water Swim Cookout July 29th from 5:30-7:30.

Have you ever wanted to try P3’s OWS but just weren’t sure about committing to every Monday?  Well, join us now as we will have a $5 drop in rate Monday July 29th, and see what it is all about (MUST HAVE A VALID USAT ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP).

After your swim, for $5 you can join us while we cook out burgers, brats and hot dogs along with some sides (BYOB).  People are welcome to bring dishes to pass/desserts.  This is a wonderful time to bring the family and have them play at the beach while you swim or meet those you work out with and enjoy our great summer weather!  So, for $10 you can get an OWS practice in and food - can’t beat that deal!  We hope you will join us!

If you are currently signed up and are attending the swims, you only need to bring $5 for the food and fun afterwards!
    • 03 Aug 2019
    • 6:30 AM
    • 1156 Olin-Turville Ct, Madison, WI 53715

Join your fellow TriWisconsin teammates to ride the full 112 mile Ironman bike course!  This will be a great opportunity to test yourself over the distance.

    **New This Year**

Endurance House Delafield is getting involved in the recon!  They will be providing a mechanic during the ride as well as limited SAG support.  Members are advise to still be prepared to handle flats, etc. during the ride.

    • We will start in the parking lot near the boat launch lot at Olin-Turville Park.  Arrive by 6:30AM, course debrief at 6:50AM and wheels out promptly at 7:00AM.  Don't forget to get your TriWi sticker to wear to identify you as part of our group.
    • Be mindful of where you park!  Additional parking can be found at the Alliant Energy Center ($7-cash only) and the Monona Terrace Ramp ($5).
    • Course maps and cue sheets will be available the morning of the ride.  Please familiarize yourself with the course map in advance.
    • There will be 2-3 groups of varying speeds going out, so you can ride with others.  For safety reasons, headphones will not be permitted.
    • We will provide two aid stations on the loop (equaling 4 fueling opportunities).  Aid stations will be located in Mount Horeb and Vernona.
    • You must be able to complete the course in the Ironman cut-off time of 8 hours and 10 minutes averaging a pace of 13.7mph.  The Mt. Horeb aid station will be available until 12:30pm and the Verona aid station will be available until 2:00pm.  Plan accordingly if you will be on the course past these times.
    • There will be limited SAG support for major mechanical issues.  Please be prepared to fix your flats (just like in the race).

There's a nice trail in the park for an optional run after the ride, so don't forget your running shoes!

VOLUNTEERS! These rides would not be possible without great volunteers. We are looking for assistance with the bike groups and the aid stations.  Please, we ask you to step-up and consider helping us out.  Sign up here.
